Millennial Falcon is an experimental punk band and ongoing comic book series. A new chapter of Millennial Falcon Comics is released with each new album. One part Cowboy Bebop, one part Grandaddy meets NoFx, experience the genre-spanning misadventures of Captain Contingency and crew as they not only battle the Federation of Job Creators in a cartoon universe but real-life corporate money-grubbers in our world. After smashing his elbow into pieces on his own Stratocaster at a protest show in front of I.C.E. headquarters in Portland, Oregon, Captain Contingency taught himself enough about synthesizers to tour with one working arm. During this time period, Millennial Falcon ran a year-long, city-wide Portland showcase called the Reproductive Rights Rock. This series boasted an incredibly diverse cast of Pacific NorthWest musicians, venues, and raised thousands of dollars for Planned Parenthood and the National Network of Abortion Funds.
