Album
The Great Impersonator is the fifth studio album by American singer Ashley Frangipane better known as Halsey, released on October 25, 2024 through Columbia Records, Sony Music Entertainment and Anti-Pop, LLC. This is her musical return since her predecessor album If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power in 2021. And her first album under this label. It is a confessional-conceptual album, where the main focus is one question: “Would anything change if you were born in different circumstances?”. The project features 18 songs that are set in these different time periods and in turn all with totally different tones and genres such as pop, rock, country, among others. Also honoring her inspirations that include personalities from those different time periods, including: Dolly Parton, David Bowie, Kate Bush, Bruce Springsteen, Björk, Evanescence, Britney Spears, among others.
