'Hurt Feelings' is the fifteenth track off Halsey's fifth studio album 'The Great Impersonator'. Categorized as 'Y2K!' song, the song is dedicated to the young adult Halsey (who was thinking of becoming Halsey). The track deals with the singer's relationship with her father, who wasn't a good role model for her during her growing-up years. Halsey has stated that 'I Believe In Magic' and this track are both 'big sister' songs. The song has been revealed to be inspired by Halsey's debut studio album 'BADLANDS' on October 18th.
