Artist
Johann Pader (also listed in catalogues as Johann Bader; d. 1715) was an early-modern Tyrolean/Austrian organist and composer known today almost entirely through a handful of surviving keyboard pieces. Modern recording notes describe him as active in Bolzano (Bozen) and Innsbruck, and his name appears in programmes devoted to late-17th-century Austrian keyboard music, where he is represented above all by toccatas (including pieces titled Toccata 1mi toni and Toccata ex d in contemporary performance documentation). While detailed biographical records are scarce in accessible open sources, Pader’s music persists in the South German–Austrian manuscript/anthology tradition that fed the region’s organ culture around 1700.
