Iron Maiden are an English heavy metal band formed in Leyton, East London, in 1975 by bassist and primary songwriter Steve Harris. Although the lineup changed several times in the early years, it has remained stable for most of the band’s history with Harris, lead vocalist Bruce Dickinson, drummer Nicko McBrain, and guitarists Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, and Janick Gers. As pioneers of the new wave of British heavy metal movement, Iron Maiden achieved significant commercial success with a series of albums certified Platinum and Gold in the UK and the US. Their early releases include the debut album "Iron Maiden" (1980), "Killers" (1981), and "The Number of the Beast" (1982), the latter being their first album with Dickinson, who replaced Paul Di’Anno as lead vocalist. "The Number of the Beast" became one of the best-selling and most influential heavy metal albums, with worldwide sales of nearly 20 million copies. Following lineup changes and a period of transition in the 1990s, the return of Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith in 1999 marked a resurgence in the band’s popularity. Subsequent releases such as "The Final Frontier" (2010), "The Book of Souls" (2015), and "Senjutsu" (2021) reached number one in more than 25 countries. Iron Maiden have sold over 130 million albums globally and have earned more than 600 certifications. They are regarded as one of the most influential and enduring heavy metal bands, having received multiple awards, including Grammy and Brit Awards. Th
