Profile By winning both the first and superprize at the YPF National Piano Competition in 2001 (Amsterdam www.ypf.nl ), the Belarussian-born Dutch pianist Hanna Shybayeva proved to belong to the top of the new generation of pianotalent in The Netherlands. The jury and musical critics expressed their admiration for her musical involvement and technical control, and soon afterwards, PHILIPS-Universal released her new CD, which was highly regarded in the Dutch national press. Initially studying at the Belarus Music Academy in Minsk, she won prizes at international competitions from very early age, beginning in 1990 with the first prize at the International Casale Monferrato Piano Competition (Italy). She was eleven at the time. The next important achievement in the early stages of her career was at the age of thirteen, when she won prizes at the International Bach Competition in Leipzig (Germany 1992). In the course of time, she won many more prizes at various international piano competions in Europe and the United States, and had a busy schedule giving solo-recitals and concerts with orchestras in many European countries and Russia. At various stages in her academic studies, she received awards from Unesco/New Names (Moscow), the Spivakov Foundation (Moscow), the Yuri Egorov Foundation (Amsterdam) and the Yamaha Music Foundation Europe.
