Given By The Flames is a Japanese gothic metalcore band hailing from Tokyo, Japan. The band's current lineup includes vocalist Willian, guitarists Diekey and Gedo, bassist Furuya, and drummer Noi. Their creative mission centers on articulating hidden emotions shared by both the band members and their audience, fostering an atmosphere where emotional expression is openly encouraged. Established in July 2013 by vocalist and guitarist Willian, the band's initial configuration comprised Willian as both vocalist and guitarist, bassist Yan, and drummer Tabo (γΏγΌε). Willian contributed to the band's distinctive musical and visual identity during this period. In 2017, Given By The Flames underwent a transformative shift with the inclusion of guitarists Diekey and Gedo, prompting Willian to concentrate solely on vocal duties. The band's debut album, "13," was unveiled on June 15, 2019. This offering featured a collaboration with Nils Richber from Walking Dead On Broadway. The connection between the bands was cultivated during their shared tour experiences in Japan. Yan was their roadie bassist and maintained close ties with Nils, culminating in a collaborative recording session where Nils independently wrote his lyrical contribution.
