Artist
Dmitriy Smirnov is a musician and songwriter from Russia, known as such mostly among his few friends. He started his very first musical endeavors in 1998, but it was only in 2001 that he began to compile his recordings into what would become his debut... His music can be generally described as rock, with distinguished influence of blues, hard rock and sometimes metal (it's not that he masters those, not to mention anything else). Along with his own original material he also plays a variety of shortened and simplified covers of his favourite artists' recordings, some of which are presented on his albums. On his records he plays all instruments - guitar, bass, keyboards, programs the drums and occasionally sings. He is not signed to any label (and has no wish of doing so). However, he had self-released (mostly through digital releases for underground free distribution) three albums and two EPs, all of which were recorded, mixed and produced by himself in his own bedroom. Sometimes he even makes live videos of his guitar-strumming endeavours.
