http://www.abubillamusic.com Abubilla Music has been evolving since it started. We try to see ourselves as three different elements really: a growing record label that produces original music by new artists, an in-house ‘band’, and also a little fledgling community. As a record label, we have two studios – one in London and one in Spain. All pretty grand until you learn that both studios are in fact converted living rooms in family homes that share the space with beds, sofas and the family printer. As a band, we call ourselves The Saturday Morning Canasta Club – a suitably uncool name to describe the collection of individuals involved, all with full time jobs and an age range that spans 19 to 53. After about six months we had a good catalogue of tunes, some of which we were happy with. See our first CD, ‘Six Months of Saturdays’ to find out which ones made the grade. We really got together because we love music. We like writing it, playing it, recording it and gathering great recordings of others. We don't really like pretentious stuff and don't claim to have a style or single influence, nor did we really set out to give a higher meaning to life. But we'd like to do good, help others, welcome a diverse group into our little tribe and
