Coin locker kid was a project begun by a group consisting of three people, which eventually dissolved and became the solo project of Devyn Smith, with everything after The Lars Demos representing a connected story of a kind of awakening. Devyn's story and discography ultimately grew to encompass two additional aliases, these being C'est la key and Come look with me, across a total of 20 works. (As of a 2025 post on his Instagram, Devyn has wished to use "Coin locker king" instead of Coin locker kid, but there haven't been any releases under this variation yet) After the release of Diskclosure in 2021 under the Come look with me moniker, Devyn started utilizing a new alias, fully detached from the Clk story, as Me oh myriorama, a kind of spiritual sequel featuring an all-too-familiar sound. Before the release of Myriorama's debut, Iris, Devyn featured on a few songs by the collaborative project "Temps". Me oh myriorama is also defunct now. Devyn recently (2025) announced that new music was in the works under a post on his Instagram, but this music hasn't seen fruition yet. His new website, Coin locker kingdom is available and has many goodies. In 2018 he worked with Gustav Baller under the alias "Joan of the Stockyards" to release a self-titled project, consisting of an experimental, modern classical approach to the songs, similar to some sections of Hailstorm & Maelstrom and The Salmon of Doubt.
