Album
"What's that they say about separating the art from the artist?" The Lars Demos is Coin locker kid's first album, released in May 2012. This album marks the finalization of the split of Coin locker kid from a band to an independent artist, Devyn Smith's alias. That said, the album still maintains a similar palette to what can be heard from 2009-2012 demos, being blogsphere abstract hip hop engaging in more interesting forms of experimentation than his peers. There's not much else to add about this album, sorry. The album had its cover changed at some point in time, presumably 2018 when a majority of Coin locker kid albums were reinstated on Bandcamp, and it was later issued in cassette for the first time in 2023 by Cyan Sun Records, with art by Jed Haas. The album features a cover of Idioteque, called "idiotik." instead, which is pretty neat. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
