Album
"And all at once those insignificant events were imbued, magically and painfully, with the deceptive glow of neglected opportunities." --Arthur Schnitzler, "Dream Story" Traumnovelle is Coin locker kid's third album, and last before his departure, released in December 2012. Although considered his "real" first album by some, the story starts earlier. The album gained traction at the time particularly for its third song, "Rollergrrrl." It is recommended to form a personal interpretation of the story, but the album is understood to be about soldiers in a war. Coin locker kid is an artist of many literary references, with this album exemplifying this rather well. The first song, "Here Comes Everybody", is an alliteration of the name of the somewhat-protagonist of Finnegans Wake, a book referenced many further times by Coin locker kid. In a similar fashion to this protagonist, who's name is really only the acronym HCE and changes ostensibly through the story, Coin locker kid's acronym is used in many ways, such as C'est la key, Come look with me, Cornelius Lockwood, and Cedric LaMork. It was pressed for the first time in 2014 by Already Dead (who later worked on Hailstorm & Maelstrom's original cassette issue), and then repressed in 2022 by Plantasia. Although a download of the album is free (name-your-own-price) over on https://coinlockerkid.bandcamp.com/album/traumnovelle, and is heavily encouraged to support Clk, here is a transcription of the document included with the d
