Augustin Volckmer (1755-1820) was a composer from Silesia. It is not known what was his relationship with the Jasna Góra Monastery, active in the Pauline monastery at Jasna Góra for over three centuries (from the end of the 16th century to the beginning of the 20th century), but among approx. over 30 manuscripts containing works by Augustin Volckmer have been preserved at Jasna Góra. He was associated with the Nysa Holy Sepulcher band. The Monastery of the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Nysa, along with the magnificent, preserved to this day, baroque church dedicated to the Saints Peter and Paul the Apostles, in the eighteenth century belonged to the most famous centers for cultivating musical culture in Silesia.
