The Occlusion is the sixth full length album of Vortech, and it was released as a digital album on 6 February 2014. A CD version will be released in the future. The story of the album takes place in a frozen-in-time Earth being visited by those who escaped it ages ago. The Earth is populated by machines that have taken over and control all cities and use humans as labor force to their own ends. Pockets of resistance fight an unwinnable war against the controllers. As such, the music takes a firm stand on the mechanical side and is the most Industrial-based album of the band to date, bringing the electronics and drum machines to the limelight. The songs were composed between early 2011 until early 2013, and most of the recording took place in summer 2013, after which the lyrics were written and vocals were recorded until early 2014.
