Coffee makes friends. That is when nigel simpson prepared coffee for phil manzanera of roxy music in a small north london deli. They got talking about music. A few cappacinos later phil invited nigel to play piano on his 2004 album ‘6pm’ and then again on his 2005 album ‘50 minutes later’. Encouraged by Phil to write more songs nigel has been working in Gallery with Jamie Johnston and Mark MacCarthy. The presentation of an electropop album called 'livingroomt' is available from www.sunslide.bandcamp.com from 6th June 2010. also released 'fieldpiano' on fieldmuzick.net which is piano music recorded outside with nature and some gentle electronics. Further experiments include 'mechanisme' and 'new beard music' - extreme acoustic pysch and accordion music which will be released on the dyingforbadmusic label. Influences include deathprod, skyphone, information, radio dept, junior boys, zoot woman, alog, ladytron, annie, fripp and eno and man ray. Coffee is still being made.
