Artist
A talented composer and arranger (real name: Christopher Gordon) who has been around the classical music scene for a long time. He is best known for his inventive, imaginative and beautifully written music for wind instruments published by Cool Wind Music. He has also written quite a few serious works including music for wind ensemble, clarinet choir, saxophone choir, saxophone ensemble, works for piano solo, works for two pianos, songs, choral works etc., etc. His arrangement for strings of Alban Berg's early song, An Leukon, was performed at the 2007 BBC Proms by the American opera diva, Renée Fleming, with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Gianandrea Noseda. It is published by Universal Edition, Vienna (Berg's publishers). Three more early Berg song orchestrations: Die Sorglichen, Schließe mir die Augen beide and Das stille Königreich have now been released with World Premières scheduled to take place by a leading London symphony orchestra in the 2010/11 concert season. His saxophone ensemble work, Septettin', has been performed by the Trinity College of Music Saxophone Ensemble, courtesy of the Trinity-Laban College of Music and Dance Professor of Saxophone, Gerard McChrystal, and the Royal College of Music Saxophone Ensemble, courtesy of the RCM Professor of Saxophone, Kyle Horch. He is working in collaboration with Kyle Horch to provide students with smaller ensemble pieces for study or performance. He is not to be confused with that other (more famous)
