Vic Sadot is a singer-songwriter in Berkeley, California who delivers a diverse selection of original songs in his solo repertoire act or with his Crazy Planet band. The topics range from the kind of subjects you would expect from one who celebrates the folk tradition of Phil Ochs, Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, and Tom Paxton. On 9/11/11 Vic Sadot released a 16 song CD titled "9/11 Truth & Justice Songs" that is available as his third CD at CD Baby. His new official web site was launched on the same day as vicsadot.com Vic's other two CD's at CD Baby are the 2005 release titled "Broadsides & Retrospectives", a "Best of 25 Years of Vic Sadot Crazy Planet Band Recordings" in the original folk-rock and blues genres, and the 1997 "Comin' Home" CD of Cajun/Zydeco and New Orleans R&B style songs by Vic Sadot's Planète Folle Band. Crazy Planet Band began playing in Newark, Delaware in 1979 and serves as Vic's showcase for his original folk rock and blues songs. Planete Folle is another band that means "Crazy Planet" in French. Vic is the singer, acoustic guitar, and 10 button accordion player in Planete Folle. The repertoire in that band is Cajun, Zydeco, and New Orleans R&B covers, most of which are in Louisiana style French. Vic is about half way through recording a new solo CD offering of "topical songs for our post-9/11 times". The Nightmare of New Orleans, heard here on last-fm, will be included in that new batch of political broadsides. A demo version was rel
