The Frog Jog is one of the first songs written by Vic Sadot. Fiddler Craig Lester Maurer came to Vic with his new fiddle tune that he had been practicing in the Sussex County swamps of southern Delaware. He called it The Frog Jog. Craig Maurer asked Vic Sadot to be the "word-smith", and Vic dashed out the funny lyrics in a single evening's effort. A friend of the Crazy Planet Band named Cissy Johnson asked Vic if he would like her to make some frog costumes for kids to wear at the Newark Community Day festivities.
