The band came into existance from the ashes of Catatonic Schizophrenia. The mastermind and vocalist of CS decided to take with him the two most talented and hard-working (lol) guitarists from his former band and create a new beginning. So Vanvettigand was born! The name was chosen from old Swedish (Literally meaning Insane Duck) and according to Riddermark best captures the true essence of his music. The works on a new album were already in progress but the guys decided to start from scratch in late 2006. Due to many issues, most of which lazyness-related the new masterpiece was postponed for quite some time until August of 2007 when it finally came to light.
