Catatonic Schizophrenia is a one-man band found in 2004 by Riddermark. He can't actually play any musical instrument nor sing. The genre is described as Acoustic, Comedy, Experimental and Catatonic. It all began in 2004 when he recorded a short sample that aimed to mock the comical introduction of Rhapsody of Fire's song - Erian's Mystical Rhymes. The result was accepted pretty well by the Bulgarian Rhapsody community and that inspired Riddermark to try and make something more, for example a song, with his trusty and never till then used acoustic guitar. The band developed rapidly for these 4 years, changing its core sound quite a bit and gaining new members. Internal disputes, however, and lack of ideas lead to the silent death of Catatonic in 2006. The last official release being the late January single "Christmas Schizophrenia", which was actually recorded in 2005. A fresh start was much needed. In 2007, Riddermark and the only other left member back then Zdravko Peev, renamed the band to Vanvettigand - the gods of duck metal. A new release followed with "The Popara Code" which showcased the incorporation of new and diverse methods of creating music. But feeling that the spirit of Catatonic Schizophrenia was lingering away, Riddermark decided to use that old name and turn it into a solo-project of his own. 9 tracks were composed, among which the ultimate hit Чочо е свиня (Chocho is a pig).
