Artist
Les Vandyke (born Yani Panakos Paraskeva Skoradalides) was a pop rock singer-songwriter from Battersea in South London, England. He also went by the stage names Johnny Worth, John Worth, and John Worsley. He composed a variety of top ten U.K. in the 60s, many of them in the popular merseybeat sound of the era similar to The Hollies and The Beatles. Vandyke used the backing band 'The Bambis' for his 1964 single "Doin' the Mod", perhaps his best known song.
