The Montauk Projekt were formed in North London by AJ Cookson (aka Drum 'n' Bass composer Forma) and Rik Mantovani, with Rik playing/smashing drums and AJ on guitar and vox duties. They have been described by Organ Magazine, as "Some kind of locked on noise-ba*stard two piece" who "threaten to be all about confrontation and then pull you in with the melody and the Big Black hooks that lurk underneath". Both are involved in the 100m collective, working on other projects with Death by Sadie, tKatKa, Iamprimate and Matthew Rozeik.
