Armies of You are: J (Vocals, Guitar), Electric Dan (Guitar, Vocals), Fret Buzz (Bass, Vocals) and Mr Strong (Drums) Originally formed in early 2007 by ex-members of Kennedy Sunday, singer/songwriter J, drummer Jon Jackson (Kimber, How To Dress For Cricket), bass player Fret Buzz and guitarist/keyboard player Tom Harrington (The Lakes, One Inch Men, How To Dress For Cricket). The band toured the UK in late February/early March culminating in a live session with Clint Boon on revered radio station XFM Manchester. During this tour the band were contacted by organisers from Canada's North By North East (NXNE) music festival and asked to headline the British Showcase at that years festival. Armies of You received much attention from both the Canadian national press and North American independant radio stations who championed the bands music and, due to the nature of them being at the festival as the only unsigned/unmanaged band from the UK, their showcase ended up being reported as one of the highlights of the festival. On the night of their performance at NXNE the band were interviewed by indie film maker Brian Banks and will appear in the rockumentary "My Tour" due to be released in late 2008. After returning from Canada frontman J signalled his intention to take 7 months off from music to travel the world in search of new ideas and inspiration.
