Leeds rockers The Little Black Hearts play ‘Sexy Blues Rock & Roll’, they’ve a lot to live up to and here are a band set never to disappoint. The fourpiece are Rich Denby (vocals and guitar) Benny Moran (bass) Gareth Dixon (guitar) and Dave Knowlson (drums). Having known each other for years on the Leeds drinking circuit, the boys lined up mid 2008. Their sound is heavy, bass-lead, but with melodies that create a sound to make you shiver, producing racy rock that reverberates through you and grabs you by the scruff of your neck. With hints of desert style rock, grinding riffs and deep beats the sound is unapologetic. The effort that is put into composition is equalled by the performance and the result is pure, exhausted hard hitting, Rock ‘n’ Roll.
