Stratus Gospel was a mid '80s gospel rock band that played venues in the Southern California area. They wrote and performed their own original music as well as covering popular contemporary gospel artists of the time like Amy Grant, Leslie Phillips, Margret Becker, Petra, Debbie Boone, and the Archers. Also influenced by popular artists like U2, Santana, VanHalen, and even Jerry Lee Lewis, their music is an eclectic blend of genres from rock 'n roll to reggae. They disbanded in 1989.
