Stippenlift is a one-man electronic act from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The man behind the moniker is Hugo van de Poel, perhaps known as a member of psych indie band, Earth Mk. II. He refers to Stippenlift's music as 'depriwave': electro pop songs (mostly played on keytar) with 'depressed' (yet often funny) lyrics. Having put out an introductory free EP in 2012, the year 2016 saw the release of two EP's: Gemiste Kansen, Vol. 1 and the Christmas EP, Zielig Kerstfeest. The Gemiste Kansen, Vol. 2 and Gemiste Kansen, Vol. 3 EPs followed in 2017. More Stippenlift albums, EPs, singles and compilations have been released since, as well as two albums with Faberyayo of De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig.
