This resulted in an intense love affair with the lap steel guitar, both electric and acoustic. In 2006 Steinar finally got around to releasing "Southern Moon Northern Lights" - his acclaimed first solo CD - an album of mostly instrumental music that shows his inspirations from the Mississippi river to the Norwegian fjords and mountains.
