After final exams as an orchestra harpist and a half year stay in Venezuela, Germany's Maria Palatine founded her own ensemble with sax and percussion. Concerts and CD productions took them from Europe to the United States, as well as to Siberia, which was a short but unforgettable journey. The work, which also included multimedia projects, included projects with renowned artists like Lokua Kanza, Markus Lüpertz, Bernard Tirtiaux, Galileo, Chiha, and many others. In August 2005 Palatine moved to Belgium to enjoy the European capital. In March 2006, at the International Day of Water, she played excerpts of the opera "Le chant de Neptune" - composition: M. Palatine, Libretto: B. Tirtiaux. Her concerts take her abroad quite often. As a consequence, singing in different languages seems quite natural to her. The texture and timbre of any language are elements she regards as an additional level of communication, beyond the real language, and she pursues an adequate integration of these elements into her compositions and songs.
