The Manuscrit de Bayeux (ParisBNF 9346) is one of only two monophonic chansonniers compiled around 1500. Carlo Bosi dates the MS to around 1516, and identifies its likely patron as Duke Charles III de Bourbon-Montpensier (1490–1527).
