Ma Gita is Margita Haberland, violinist and singer of Abwärts from 1979 to 1981. She spent her youth time in Salzburg, studied in Munich, made Free Jazz in Berlin, involved in musical Hair and 4 records by the Release Music Orchestra. She took part in theater workshops in Aix-en-Provence and was violinist of the Bremen located punk band Die Blender. After her time as Abwärts member she studied in the United States. She was even co-founder of drug self-help organization Release, works as a therapist and educator and is involved to date in various performance and music projects.
