Joe Da III (Joe Da Third, aka Joe Da ILL & JoeBChill) is an emcee/vocalist, writer and beatmaker born December 11th, 1994 in Columbia, SC and raised in Indianapolis, IN. Although he always had an obsession for music from a very young age, he didn't begin to fully realize his passion for it until the discovery of artists like Stevie Wonder, J Dilla, People Under the Stairs, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Method Man & Redman, Little Brother, Amy Winehouse, Wu-Tang Clan, Rage Against the Machine, Radiohead, D'Angelo, Madlib and MF DOOM, among many others. As a theatre and eventual concert/show choir kid through High School, his creative ear began to take shape as he entered college and got his first drum machine freshman year of college. Since 2015 he's made beat projects, first from his Soundcloud under the name "BlackPhan" before moving onto Bandcamp. The following year he became the 1/4 of the R&B quartet "4TG" that eventually became a trio, started amongst lifelong friends he met through Show Choir at Warren Central High School. Meanwhile he created five beat projects within two years of his own between his Soundcloud and Bandcamp pages, two of them serving as musical tributes to a fallen influence. After a nearly four year hiatus from music he returned back to his beatmaking roots with "Centaur" a bittersweet celebration and tribute to his deceased father under a new name in tribute to him, 'Joe Da Third'.
