Artist
A Lancaster, United Kingdom-based duo formed in 1970, Ron Flanagan and former Wayfarers member Brian Dewhurst played the north-western England folk club circuit. In late 1971 they recorded a self-titled début album that featured many of the leading songs of the folk revival of the time. After the appearance of a second album, Dewhurst turned professional as a solo act, although he subsequently adopted the name Brian Preston (after his home town) to avoid confusion with another entertainer of the same name. Meanwhile, Flanagan joined forces with Trevor Colluney, continuing the Horden Raikes name for many years. Sadly, Flanagan and Dewhurst died within a week of each other in October 2017.
