Artist
Hannah Laine is a soulful vocalist and songwriter from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Inspired by neo-soul artists Hiatus Kaiyote, Erykah Badu, and D’Angelo, Hannah’s music is rich with meditative vocal lines and lyrics that express the raw emotions of the present moment. Since the release of her debut EP Cut Your Strings in May 2017, Hannah has been writing with bass player and creative master Justin Avdek with the intention to release an album in the near future. She has played many private house concerts this past summer, as well as New Holland the Knickerbocker for their “Sunday Soul Sessions.” In July, Hannah played at the Traverse City Film Festival for her third consecutive year. In addition to her original music performances, Hannah Laine sings and plays synthesizer in the Grand Rapids cover band Funkle Jesse.
