Gaspar de Úbeda y Castelló (Valencia, ? - Seville, February 26, 1724) was a Spanish composer and maestro de capilla. He was a native of Valencia, starting his musical career there as a minister. The first news of him is from his arrival in Jerez de la Frontera from Córdoba. In Jerez he was a chapel teacher from June to September 1701. In 1701 he was appointed master of the chapel of the Cathedral of Cadiz, despite having finished second in the oppositions for the position. Miguel Conejos, who had won them, resigned from office, returning to Malaga as an organist. In Cádiz he began with problems with the members of his music chapel and in 1702 he presented his resignation for "a certain difference he had had with a capitular lord and also that some musicians, particularly Don Alejandro González, did not attend to him as his teacher." The Cathedral Council solved the problem by admonishing the musicians and Úbeda remained in Cádiz until 1710. The master of the chapel of the Cathedral of Seville, Diego José de Salazar, died in June 1709, so the position became vacant. Oppositions were organized to which at least Úbeda and the master of the church of Cartagena attended.The Sevillian Cabildo appointed Úbeda on April 8, 1710 thanks to the "news of his skill and sufficiency for some works that he had sent and that had been sung with the choir [...] with the approval of the intelligent of this faculty."
