The bridge between East and West, the synthesis of many traditions that have influenced and enriched European musical culture for centuries, is the focal point of Oni Wytars' work in the field of early music. The instrumentalists of the ensemble, from Austria, Germany, Italy and the United States, have been presenting programmes of music of the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, Eastern Europe and Islam in concerts, at international festivals, and through numerous recordings, since 1983. Members of the Oni Wytars Ensemble are known for their work with such respected ensembles as the Katharco Early Music Consort (Germany), the Clemencic Consort (Austria), Els trobadors (Spain) and Melusine (U.S.A.), and for appearances on numerous radio, television and recording projects.
