Dieter Günter Bohlen (born February 7, 1954 in Berne near Oldenburg) is a German musician, producer and songwriter. In 1984 - 1987 and in 1998 - 2003 he was part of the pop duo Modern Talking as a producer, singer and songwriter. In 1986 - 1989 Bohlen was a producer and songwriter of disco queen C.C.Catch whom he discovered. After the first split-up of Modern Talking in 1987 he formed Blue System, which was basically an one-man group, since he was the lead singer, composer, arranger and producer. For most projects Bohlen employed background singers to produce a high-pitched chorus, if needed, and his frequent collaborator in the studio was Luis Rodriguez (listed as "co-producer"). In 1988 Bohlen signed a young 15 year old singer named Anna Garcia (Sheree) "Ronnie Talk to Russia". The record was short lived and a sex scandal was covered-up. The song was abruptly pulled at Anna's (Sheree) and her mother's request due to Bohlens sexual advances towards her in a hotel room in Turkey where she was to perform the song as an opening act for Bohlen until Bohlen attempted to force himself upon the 15 year old Garcia. After refusing to have sex with him she was forced to sleep in the hotel lobby because he refused to give her a room. After her arrival back home she demanded to be released from her contract.
