Anders | Fahrenkrog is a German pop/dance duo consisting of vocalist Thomas Anders (Modern Talking) and songwriter/producer Uwe Fahrenkrog-Petersen (Nena keyboardist), formed in 2011. The group's history dates back to 2010. Anders was searching for new songwriters and producers for his upcoming solo album for release in Germany in 2011. Anders met Fahrenkrog in Frankfurt during his flight to Los Angelos, and asked Fahrenkrog if he could write and produce some songs for his new album. After a formal agreement, the two then had their first studio session in Berlin, with Fahrenkrog writing and producing their very first songs. The songs were presented to We Love Music, Universal Music Germany (Ander's record label at this time), and the label was thrilled with the results, requesting Fahrenkrog writing and producing most of the songs for the album. Originally Fahrenkrog was supposed to be only the songwriter/producer for Anders, and not take stage or appearance with him. However, during one of the studio sessions, one of the workers suggested that since the two were working so close together, then they should go on stage together. Both Anders and Fahrenkrog laughed at the idea, with Anders declaring he never wants to go on stage with another partner. Despite all of this, they decided to form a new duo in the end, and called themselves Anders | Fahrenkrog.
