Daljit Dhaliwal formed in 2008 at Leeds University, when Joe Jerome Newman, Gwil Sainsbury, Gus Unger-Hamilton and Thom Green got together to play some of Joe's songs as a band. They quickly started writing others, and gathered a close fanbase through their university circle and some raucously-intimate (?) gigs in the boys' living room.
