The Midi 4 (Sarah and Gus) made a New Year’s resolution to start a band in 2007, and so, in their free periods in Upper 6th, they started playing about with some electronic sounds and so on. Pretty soon they had a song written and recorded - Bass Hook - and they took it from there. Though still in the early stages as a band (though not as musicians - they both pursue other projects outside the band) their canon has already encompassed many different types of music, from pianistic pop to thudding rave to, more recently, increasingly housey sounds. The Midi 4 is based between Ely (where they both live) and Leeds (where they both study) and plan to start trying out some of their stuff live later this year.
