Artist
Celtic Shores 1 is the first album in the EPI Masterworks Celtic Compilation series. It features famous and not as famous artists, the Good Folk Celtic Ensemble and their compositions and music. The Celtic series was released to raise scholarship funds for exceptionally talented musical youth who wish to have a career in vocal music but whose parents are hard pressed to pay for their children’s training during the economic crisis in the USA. The Good Folk is a Celtic Ensemble formed in 1999 to back up youth singers in concert, in Celtic Games and Festivals and in recordings. They also performed in elementary school shows combining Celtic History with music for the students. The music from this album was used in the Scottish film soundtrack of "The Clan" and as part of the background music of a Discovery Channel presentation. Look for Celtic Shores 3 CD coming out early in 2012. The last track on this album is sung by an untrained young girl singer. Since the song is about love failed the song needed a raw voice to properly carry the message of the young girl's grief. Stephanie, the singer, carries the song perfectly along with the flute interludes played by Kenneth LaRoche.
