There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Buford (Redondo Beach, CA) 1995–1998 2) Buford 2010–Present. 1) Buford were based in Redondo Beach, CA and were active throughout the 90s, releasing a number of 7" records including splits alongside Loose Change and Sleepasaurus on Luis Estefania's own label, Noise Patch Records. They also had tracks on compilations such as Emo Diaries - Chapter Two - A Million Miles Away and the Motherbox Records samplers, Diversified Chaos and More Kaos. Early rotating line-ups included ex members of F.Y.P., Fleabag, The Grim, and Rhythm Collision. By 1996 the core group remained Sharif Dumani, Troy Taroy, Luis Estefania, and Rick Garcia (2) until their split in 1998. 2) Buford is an artist from the United States, with a new CD called Get Ready being released in May 2010. Buford grew up playing guitar in local R&B and Funk bands in his native town of East St. Louis, Illinois and later in the upstate New York area. He has since relocated to the Houston, Texas area and turned his musical focus primarily to Christian music. This gifted musician and songwriter has a love for music that encompasses many genres yet he understands that all inspiration is given by God.
