Release Date May 1, 2010. The CD title actually has a double meaning: 1) Get Ready for what your ears are about to experience, and 2) Get your life Ready, because a (spiritual) train is a comin'. Of course the title track 'People Get Ready' is a jazz/funk rendition of the classic Curtis Mayfield hit. Buford has woven a tapestry of genres that is both stimulating and captivating. From the smooth jazz sounds of "My Heart" and "I'll Be There For You", to the Christian Rock flavor of "Live Your Life", the Rock style of "No More Lies", the neo soul influenced "Thank U", the R&B Funk styling of "I'll Try", the jazz/hip-hop infused "Is It Right?", to the gospel sounding "Holy", and the down home bluesy "Amazing Grace". This CD is not your typical Gospel CD, but offers something for lovers of music regardless of labels.
