SEE: Forstella Ford. Before 1998, Forstella Ford was known as Only Airplanes Count. A lot of people are under the impression that OAC and FF are two different bands, but that is not the case. The first released by the band was a song on the first Emo Diaries compilation (Deep Elm). There was also a split 7" with IL band Stillwell (self-released), a compilation on No Karma Recordings, and a 2-song 7" (Dyslexic Records). The first Forstella Ford full-length (Relics of an Unseen Life) was recorded as Only Airplanes Count, which was completed right by a cross-country tour with The Appleseed Cast. Upon returning from that tour and writing some new songs with a new guitarist that were basically a 180-degree turn from what they had just done on their album, the band decided to change their name, and a decision was made to change the artwork to reflect that. This may have been a poor decision, as that record barely resembles the rest of the Forstella Ford catalog, which is why it's not surprising that a lot of people think Only Airplanes Count and Forstella Ford were two separate bands.
