Bon Jovi is an American rock band formed in 1983 in Sayreville, New Jersey. The current lineup features singer Jon Bon Jovi, keyboardist David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres, guitarists Phil X and John Shanks, percussionist Everett Bradley, and bassist Hugh McDonald. Founding bassist Alec John Such left in 1994, and longtime guitarist and co-songwriter Richie Sambora departed in 2013. The band first gained attention with their 1984 self-titled debut album, propelled by the Top 40 single "Runaway." They achieved global success with their third album, "Slippery When Wet" (1986), which produced two Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles, "You Give Love a Bad Name" and "Livin' on a Prayer." Their follow-up, "New Jersey" (1988), continued their commercial dominance, yielding five Top 10 singles, including two more chart-toppers. Throughout the late 1980s, the band toured extensively, culminating in the 1988–1990 "New Jersey Syndicate Tour." In 1992, Bon Jovi released "Keep the Faith," introducing a more mature sound and the hit "Bed of Roses." Their 1994 compilation "Cross Road" featured "Always," the band’s longest-charting single. "These Days" (1995) continued their evolution, particularly in the UK and Europe, producing several top ten hits. After a brief hiatus, they returned with "Crush" (2000), whose lead single, "It's My Life," introduced them to a younger audience.
