Following the release of Frequency at the beginning of 2006 which was an early attempt at an electronic music sound, Tomb Under The Moon was released in the summer that same year, and built a stronger more cohesive sound. The album features heavily filtered synth and icy shuffling percussion, on top of the features developed in the acoustic ambient series, the wandering bass lines, bright guitar melodies and choral vocals, albeit used far more sparingly. The album also features far shorter tracks than usual, all arriving more or less between 2 and 5 minutes, which helps the pacing significantly. There are less successful tracks, such as Numb and Strychnine, and the album lacks the paceless carefree ambience of earlier albums. However, it is more thoughtfully produced, develops an interesting blend of minimal techno and breaks with acoustic guitar melodies, with stand-out tracks such as Shiver, Noyer and the title track Tomb Under The Moon, an accomplished electronic piece.
