Shine Forever is Lil Shine’s second studio album, following his October 2022 debut album, Losing Myself. The album was first announced on October 2, 2023, and was released on January 1, 2025. The beginning of the album rollout started out tough because on March 5, 2024, Shine would post and delete an Instagram Story stating that he had lost his computer, further delaying the release of the album. "all music gone computer lost rip" Lil Shine would remain dormant throughout most the year until August 10, 2024, where he would preview a folder under the name “?” containing seventeen items via his Instagram story. On October 18, 2024, Shine would release the first lead single to the album, Dork. On December 6, 2024, Shine would be indicted on charges of Conspiracy to Acquire and Obtain, controlled substances by fraud, wire fraud, aggravated identity theft, accessing a protected computer in furtherance of fraud, and attempt to acquire and obtain a controlled substance by fraud leaving fans wondering if music would still be coming. Shine would take to Instagram to confirm that the album would still be releasing. On December 16, 2024, Shine would confirm the release of the album via Instagram Live. On December 24, 2024, Shine would take to Instagram to release the album cover and tracklist. On December 25, 2024, Shine would release the second lead single, Date Night.
