Lovesick is Lil Shine’s third extended-play, following his October 2022 debut album Losing Myself. The album was first announced on January 9, 2023 on his IG story, slated for a February 18th release. However, this release day never came to fruition. On May 26, 2023, Lil Shine revealed the artwork for the project. In the caption, the tracklist revealed there would be eight tracks. On July 24, 2023, Shine revealed the tracklist and the release date, August 1st on his Instagram.
