The Rock is the sixth track from Self Diagnosis' 2007 album Remnants. Lyrically inspired by the themes and events of The Who's album Quadrophenia, The Rock is a brief acoustic interlude in the same vein as album opener To The Archive!. The simple arrangement consists of an acoustic guitar riff played in 7/8 time, accompanied by a soft, sparse vocal. The song has occasionally been played live, serving the purpose of an interlude between other acoustic tracks such as Lore Finding.
