"So Many People" is a song from Paul Williams' 1970 album, Someday Man. Originally recorded by Williams and Roger Nichols and released on the demo compilation We've Only Just Begun, the album cut is in fact the very same demo recorded by Williams and Nichols, with additional overdubs. The song makes makes a reference to Martin Luther King, Jr., the man who was "killed for careless dreaming", this being one of the few overt political references found in Williams' songs.
