Selling Futures reviews the many aspects and consequences of the complete takeover of US society by consolidated corporations and their attempt to globalize and militarize the entire world under the cover of “privatizing” resources and fighting a “war on terror”. The song was originally written by Vic Sadot in 1973 as part of the rude awakening of the Vietnam War era. It was not used much until it was updated for use at “Occupy Wall Street” movement events in the San Francisco Bay area in 2011.
